Our commitment
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group wants this website to be usable by everyone. It has been designed and tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
Compliance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA: most of its content meets the standard, and the exceptions are listed below.
It was audited on 28 September and 8 October 2026, in English and Simplified Chinese, with an automated tool (axe-core) and manual checks: keyboard navigation, colour contrast, touch targets and reduced motion. The blocking issues identified have been corrected.
Known limitations
- The introductory film has no captions or transcript yet.
- The website has not yet been tested with a screen reader by its users.
- The globe is a visual element; the stories it presents are also available as cards that can be reached with the keyboard.
- On the cards placed over photographs, some short labels may not reach the recommended contrast on the lightest images.
